Local Loves: Gringo in the CWE

September 18, 2014

If you're like me, & love eating tacos with your amigos that are quite delicioso, you should try Gringo!

Located in the "Left Bank"of St. Louis, the chic Central West End, they serve Baja inspired Mexican cuisine that will transport you from the Midwest to the coast with each bite.

Gringo's littlest fan, Atticus, loved the chicken quesadillas, while my fellow vegetarian friend Amanda & I chose the chinga-linga tacos made with spring vegetables, avocado, poblano rajas, chopped lettuce, epazote salsa, and tajin. Luckily for the boys & Sharon, they had plenty of options for meat lovers too, and the gringo fries were to die for! Potato wedges tossed with queso cotija, parsley, and chili flakes, with a side of Gringo ketchup and cilantro-buttermilk dressing. They put all other fries to shame.

If fresh, local, flavorful food in an amazing location is on your to do list, then Gringo can't be missed!
