Randall and I stumbled into Rise Coffee by way of magical serendipity. We were out on a spur of the moment thrifting adventure, headed to a new shop that we'd never been to before. As we drove through the neighborhood, I commented to Randall that I'd been following a coffee shop on Instagram (this is one of the best ways to find new places to try!) and I thought that it was located in the area. I'd been dying to try it, mostly so that I felt I had a more reasonable excuse to stalk them on Instagram. No sooner did the words leave my mouth than we drove past Rise Coffee and I was begging my sweet husband to turn around and buy me a warm beverage.
Let me tell you, friends, we were not disappointed by our decision! If anything, we were only wondering how in the world we'd never come here sooner. As if the outside isn't lovely enough - the inside is full of thoughtfully curated pieces that work to build an inspiring space. It's a beautiful location if you need to open your mind to some creative thought.
Most often, we like to get a pour over of one of their single origin coffees. Recently, I've ordered their iced green tea and absolutely fallen IN LOVE. I always have a love affair with iced green tea in the summer time, and Rise Coffee keeps me coming back.
It's safe to say we're new regulars. We love sitting outside and enjoying the beautiful Midwest summer. The last time I was there, they were playing these amazing, folksy covers of trending pop songs. I'm still disappointed that I never asked what it was.
He is so the cutest thing ever. #teambuchanan
The staircase leading upstairs is dreamy. I love brick walls and natural light. So beautiful, and a wonderful place to spend time with a friend or accomplish something productive like homework and writing.
Even the bathroom is beautiful. I think it's fair to say I'm obsessed.
Do yourself a favor - don't just take my word for it! Head on over to Rise Coffee, grab a daily brew and a pastry. Spend a few hours there and you'll be just like us - always dreaming of your next opportunity to go back.
