Music Monday: Scarlet Tanager

June 2, 2014

It's that time again, another Music Monday Roundup. We seem to really love our city and supporting the local artists here in town. What can we say, we're proud to be St. Louisans! This week we want to introduce you to Scarlet Tanager.

Scarlet Tanager is an indie pop group from St. Louis consisting of married couples, siblings, and friends, and are such a sweet family band. We first heard of them when they were asked to play at a friend's wedding reception. They blew us away, and we couldn't wait to share their music with friends! The female vocals are so light, weightless, and beautiful with a hint of Regina Spektor and Feist. Their music is perfect for road trips, friends night out, and weddings (obviously)! We can't get enough! Check them out. You won't be disappointed.

This video is for their song, "Tumbleweed." It has to be one of the best music videos we have ever seen.  No additional introduction needed. Watch and be so happily pleased.

Scarlet Tanager will soon be releasing their new album, "Let's Love," on June 20, 2014. For St. Louis readers, the "Let's Love" CD Release show will be at Off Broadway on June 20. More information here. For more Scarlet Tanager music, check out their website here and bandcamp here.
